Projector disassembly: Can the projector replace the TV?

In recent years, the editor has constantly seen the topic of "Projector instead of TV", and even saw the recommendation of various home projectors on the Internet. Some friends around me started buying projectors. Is it true that home projectors are really the next market outlet? I can't help but be a little curious. As a worker, I also bought a low-cost projector to follow suit.

The editor started with the 358 yuan Ruishida T1, which is a projector with a domestic chip solution. The size of the whole machine is 190x154x80mm. The appearance is small and exquisite, white plastic shell, there are many cooling holes around. Support 3.5mm audio output interface, support external speakers, support mobile phone wired screen projection. The operation is also simple and easy to learn. It is no problem to use the T1 projector for daily entertainment, and it is compact and convenient. But if compared with professional projectors, it is far behind.

Next is to disassemble it

The top cover of Swisstec T1 is fixed to the fuselage with a buckle and is fixed twice from the bottom of the fuselage with screws. Remove the 4 Phillips fixing screws at the bottom and pry open the top cover. The motherboard is fixed on the left side of the fuselage with 2 screws, and the components in the fuselage are connected with the motherboard through red and black wires and crimp connectors.

Disconnect the connector and remove the 2 fixing screws. Remove the motherboard, the entire black plastic cover almost covers the entire inside of the fuselage. A groove is reserved on the edge of the plastic cover to facilitate the passage of the connecting wires between the internal components and the main board.

No heat dissipation materials such as silicone grease were found on the surface of the motherboard shaped like a right-angled triangle. There are two infrared receiving sensors on the back of the motherboard.

Unscrew the Phillips screw that fixes the plastic cover, use a crowbar to pry along the edge of the plastic cover, and remove the black plastic cover. The internal components of the projector are basically exposed to our eyes. There is a small amount of foam material inside the black plastic cover to support the projector display without displacement.

The display part of the projector is quite simple, followed by a transparent acrylic board, a 3.97-inch LCD display, acrylic board, LED backlight bowl and plastic hood.

In front of the display screen is a plane mirror placed at 45 degrees. The screen image is refracted by the plane mirror to the front of the fuselage and the lens is enlarged and projected onto the screen or wall. The working principle is similar to the slide slide machine.

The front and back of the projector are equipped with a turbo-type cooling fan. Both fans are from Dongrui Industrial (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., which can effectively take away the heat generated inside the machine when it is running. But it also brings some noise when the projector is running.

Finally, unscrew the remaining fixing screws at the bottom of the fuselage, and take out the internal display of the fuselage, the lamp bowl and lampshade assembly, the LED backlight board and the aluminum radiator assembly, speakers, and lens. The display uses a 3.97-inch custom LCD internal display from Topfoison, Shenzhen, and a rear external speaker with an output power of 3W, and the sound quality is average.

The projector uses a SMD LED light board as the image backlight source of the whole machine. The LED light board is directly fixed on the aluminum radiator with screws. Heavy role.

Finally look at the IC

Main board IC (picture below):

2: Sigmastar - dual-core highly integrated SOC chip

3: XMC-Flash chip

4: NSIWAY--audio amplifier chip

Review the disassembly of the entire projector. It can be seen that the T1 projector is easy to dismantle, the internal structure is simple, and the principle is similar to the slide projector. It adopts a single motherboard design, especially the use of domestic Xiamen Xingchen Technology (Sigmastar) chip solutions.

From the disassembly, we can also see that the Swiss Da T1 machine uses a large number of plastic components, and the workmanship is a bit rough. Although it is equipped with dual fans inside, it reduces the internal heat of the machine. However, the dual-fan design also causes the projector to produce a lot of noise during operation, and the problem of heat generation during use is still more obvious. However, the price of the Swiss T1 T1 is naturally incomparable with high-priced projectors. Do you plan to replace the TV with a projector?
